Device for measuring liquid filling levels comprises a capacitive measurement sensor (1) connected to an evaluation unit that evaluates the measurement signal. The measurement sensor has at least two base parts (2, 3) with intermeshing finger-type electrodes (20, 30). The electrodes are displaced relative to each other. The base parts are mounted using a fixing element (4) that is outside the overlapping region of the electrodes. For low-cost mass production the fixing element is produced using plastic injection molding, while the electrodes are produced using a grating stamping process.
