The roof has two or more adjustable roof elements (10,12) and a seal arrangement (18) with hollow chamber (40) on the rear element, to seal the gap (20) between the elements, when the roof is closed. Two downward extending ribs (54,56) are formed on the underside of the front roof element, and a sealing lip (50) of the seal unit is fitted between the ribs, to prevent entry of pressurized water. A first section (24) of the seal unit has a sealing lip (38), which is compressed by the rear edge (42) of the front roof element to seal the gap between the elements. A third section (28) fastens the seal unit to the rear roof element. This section consists of a material with a Shore hardness of at least 85.
