Internet card is of check card size, made of paper, cardboard or plastic and has at least four code areas (2) containing handwritten or printed codes (3) e.g. Internet address, telephone numbers. Internet card reader (4) optically reads (5) code which is recognized using optical character recognition. Card calls up application for local and non-local communication unit connected with a network using code.
