Computer system for project planning and tracking has processing, input and display units. The display unit displays the output of an application in which an undefined time period with a given tolerance range for carrying out an activity can be input. At least one tolerance range is assigned to the possibility that a given activity will have been started or completed within the selected time period. The invention also relates to a corresponding method.
