During the adsorber on-line phase of a cyclical procedure, a recuperator (W) is heated by combustion gases from an oil or gas burner (B). In the off-line phase for the adsorber (A1, A2), regeneration gas (7) is heated through the recuperator before passing to the adsorber, to strip gas and volatiles.
