Method for calibration of parallel geometry kinematic drive systems used in machine tools and hand operated machinery, using iterative algorithm and determining position of machine component relative to reference coordinate system
A method for calibration of machine components of a machine tool or hand-operated machine moving in parallel kinematic fashion in a movement space. The position of one parallel kinematically moving machine component relative to a reference coordinate system is determined from the positions of all the parallel drives acting on the component, where each drive is moved by its own drive train relative to the reference system.
