Production of electrical switches or modules (4) comprises: (a) arranging semiconductor chips and/or electronic components on circuit support made from a metallic flat support material and provided with etching resist; (b) structuring the etching resist; (c) connecting semiconductor chip and/or electronic component with the support by bonding; and (d) producing circuit structure from circuit support by etching. An Independent claim is also included for an electronic module produced by the above support. Preferably the etching treatment is a wet chemical etching process. The circuit support is made from a planar metal foil. The circuit support has a multidimensional structure formed by bending, pressing or embossing. The semiconductor chip and/or electronic component are additionally protected before etching by applying a casting resin or lacquer.
