The test rig (2) typically has four support plates with chocks (5) to hold the four wheels (3) of a car or van (1). Each wheel support is mounted on an individual baseplate (11) which stand on a flat floor (33). There are plates (6) to permit sideways motion of the wheel supports and hydraulic actuators (8-10) to move and shake the vehicle wheels in different directions. The actuators are connected to pressure division valve boxes (24) to give the required motions.
