Made from closed-pore foam (1) coated on both sides with a suitable plastics material (2,3), a roof insulation (RI) for a refrigerated transport vehicle (RTV) has a section (26) as a passage for an evaporator trough. An upper edge (6a) of the RI is raised so that it protrudes upwards out of the RTV. Molding (2a) on the RI's refrigerating chamber aids air control through the evaporator.
