Temperature sensor, placed in a side part of a motor vehicle, comprises a first sensor element (1) for detection of an adiabatic temperature increase caused by deformation of the side part. The temperature sensor has a second sensor element (2) for measuring external temperature. Optimally first and second sensor elements are mounted on the same chip substrate, with the first sensor having a very fast response, while the response of the second is much slower. The invention also relates to a motor vehicle climate control system with at least two temperature sensors arranged on either side of a motor vehicle to provide readings of the external temperature to the climate control system.
