A stabilizer composition (I) for stabilizing halogen containing organic polymers against thermal and/or photochemical degradation comprises a fluoroalkane sulfonic acid, a cyanoacetyl urea and calcium hydroxide. Independent claims are included for: (1) a process for the stabilization of organic polymers by addition of the composition (I) and intimately mixing in suitable equipment; and (2) PVC (polyvinyl chloride) containing fluoroalkane sulfonic acid, a cyanoacetyl urea and calcium hydroxide.
