The procedure for the sealing of folding boxes (5) entails transporting the boxes into a first line area (1) where the outer lying sides of the boxes are processed, and then transferring them to an angled section in a second line area (3) for the processing of the sides lying at the front and rear in the first line position. The transferring into the angled section is carried out by a rotational movement which is continuous. The boxes during the transfer are additionally rotated around their own axis. Both rotational movements each cover an angle of about 90 degrees, and the rotational movements are in opposite directions. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a device to carry out the sealing of folding boxes; and (b) a rotary platform (4) for transferring the boxes into the angled position.
