The ring core unit has a ring core (1) of ferrite or strip material joined in a bore (10) of a cooling body (3) or of a transmission profile joined to the cooling body in a heat conducting manner to form the ring core unit. The bore is a stepped bore with sections of different diameter and the ring core can be bonded into the bore. A thermally conducting adhesive (2) is used.
