The device has a magnetic core, a stimulation coil, an armature, several magnetic flux measurement devices and a controller for controlling coil current depending on magnetic flux measurements to select a predefined coupling force. Magnetically sensitive devices in the flux measurement devices are arranged in the peripheral direction so magnetic flux density is controlled depending on an output signal of each magnetically sensitive device. The device has a core (21L) of magnetic material, a stimulation coil (22L), an armature (23L), several magnetic flux measurement devices (24La, 24Lb) and a controller for controlling the coil current depending on the magnetic flux measurements to select a predefined coupling force. Magnetically sensitive devices in the flux measurement devices are arranged in the peripheral direction so that magnetic flux density is controlled in accordance with an output signal of each magnetically sensitive device.
