The custom global directories (35) have hierarchically organized product classes that categorize products from sellers (30a-30n) satisfying seller requirements. The directories are associated with attributes of categorized products in the product classes having pointers to identify seller database. The search query for product data in seller database is transferred through a search interface of the directories. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) dynamic database redirection method; (2) dynamic database redirection program; and (3) dynamic database redirection system.
