A switch selects laser pointer mode for projecting laser beam on a screen and mouse mode for emitting infrared light from an emitter on the screen. A processor (3) generates movement of the projected image of the infrared light to the screen (1), which is sensed by a sensor. The infrared light projecting device (31) projects a mouse image onto the screen, based on the movement data.
