The system includes a transaction execution module for receiving from a utilization mechanism a parts identifier for each part and supplier data for the identified parts. The execution module produces transaction documents identifying parts, and containing an order for the supplier to provide the parts. The transaction documents are transmitted to the connected suppliers. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method of utilizing parts lists; (2) software for utilization of parts lists;and (3) a parts list utilization system.
