Solid pharmaceutical composition comprises torasemide (1-isopropyl-3-(4-m-toluidino-3-pyridylsulfonyl)urea) modification II or a solvate thereof and at least 50 wt.% of excipients selected from sugars, sugar alcohols, calcium hydrogen phosphate, cellulose, cellulose derivatives and polyvinylpyrrolidone of molecular weight 1000-15000.
