The connector includes a bend-guide is integrated with a housing body for receiving an optical fiber. The bend-guide has a bend-limiting end section which makes contact with the inner edge of an optical fiber in a bent state, so as to limit the bending radius of the optical fiber to a minimum value. At least part of the bend-guide is open, excepting the inner bend-limiting edge section.
