The system has a radiation emitting optoelectronic component (1) with at least one beam output surface joined to a substrate (4) surface (5) so that the emanating beam passes approximately parallel to the substrate surface. A structured waveguide layer system (6) of several layers (7-9) in direct contact with the beam output surface is deposited on the substrate surface as a guide and/or frequency converter for the beam. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing and the inventive system.
