Adhesive strip (10) for sealing window or door jambs against surfaces of wall openings in a building comprises a sealing foil (2) which serves as a carrier layer, permits vapor diffusion to take place and carries two adhesive layers (4, 5) on its side opposite to the side with an adhesive layer (3). An Independent claim is also included for a method for producing the adhesive sealing strip.
