Three-dimensional image objects can be displayed in an interactive BAP, and interactively processed using a method in which an image object is represented in a virtual image space, pixels of the three-dimensional space are set by a selection device, and corresponding coordinates are allocated to the image object using a computer. At least one spatial sub-region of the image object is marked for processing by the selection device.
