The cable channel consists essentially of a metal U-shaped base body and cover, both of which are manufactured continuously from a flat metal band by deformation. The metal band is of at least two-layer construction and the covering layer is provided with a protective coating on the visible side. Independent claims are also included for the following: a method of manufacturing a cable channel.
