Deodorized N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone (NVP) is obtained by adding a compound of lower boiling point than NVP to a liquid of at least 90 wt.% NVP purity in a distillation column, such that the odiferous components of the liquid are removed as distillate along with the added compound.
