A crack resistant resin plate, useful as a frontal plate or a display monitor, comprising a substrate based on a methyl methacrylate/styrene copolymer with a coating containing electrically conductive inorganic particles
Crack resistant resin plate comprises a substrate of resin based on methyl methacrylate/styrene copolymer and a cured coating formed on the substrate. A crack resistant resin plate comprising a substrate of resin based on methyl methacrylate/styrene copolymer and a cured coating formed on the substrate. The coating comprises (parts by wt.): (i) a resin composition containing a compound with an acyclic ring and one or two methacryloyloxy groups in the molecule (5-80), and a compound with at least three methyacryloyloxy groups in its molecule (20-95) and/or an oligomer of the compound; and/or (ii) a resin composition containing a compound with an aromatic ring and a methacryloyloxy group. The ratio of the number of methacryloyloxy groups to the number of aromatic rings is at least 3. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a frontal plate for a display where the plate is obtained from the resin plate; (2) a monitor for a projection type display obtained from the resin plate; and (3) a process for preparation of the resin plate as described above with curing of the coating.
