The floor assembly of the body of especially a railway wagon has a floor plate (1) and wheel arch section (2) formed in one piece by a cast component (A) or canted sheet metal element or hydro-formed sheet metal element. The cast component has the wheel arch open at the bottom, and has end cross supports (3) which are constructed for the connection of a wagon joint. The cast component has side rails (4) as lower component parts of the wagon's sidewalls.
