The dispenser for highly viscous pastes has a piston (4) which moves down a threaded spindle (3) when a head (7) is turned. An inner sleeve (8) is mounted around the piston containing a torsion component (10), e.g. a spiral spring, which is tensioned against the direction of application as it is turned.
