Method for lengthways joining of concrete railway sleepers with sprung connectors secured to anchor bolts embedded into the sleepers near to the butting ends

A method for end linking concrete railway sleepers has the butting ends fitted with bolts 940 embedded into the concrete. The lower ends of the bolts are flattened to provide a non rotating secure grip. The protruding ends of the bolts are threaded and are linked by a sprung connector secured to the bolts by nuts. The upper ends of the bolts are fitted with wire spirals embedded into the concrete and providing additional support to prevent chipping of the concrete and loosening of the bolts. The sleepers are made of reinforced concrete.
