The clamping yoke (12) has a clamping hook spring-elastically constructed for the force-actuated application of the force directed against a fixed object against a surface of an object to be fixed when the clamping yoke is in its tensioned state. A beam (14) extends through a fastening holder (16) for the support of the clamping yoke on the support, whereby the longitudinal axis of the beam forms approximately a right angle with the longitudinal axis of the clamping hook in the released state. The fastening holder is the tensioned state of the yoke wedges against the beam, and in the released state has a clearance in relation to the beam. An independent claim is included for a cover device for surfaces, and especially for the upper sides of partially prefabricated brickwork, which is fixed in place by the aforesaid clamping device.
