The commercial vehicle has an end cross rail (8), a rail section on the lifting roof side, and a rail section on the roof spar side. The latter two rail sections are connected by at least one connecting rod to functional unit allowing a lifting and lowering and also a longitudinal movement of the lifting roof. The rail sections may be interconnected by two connecting rods which are each mounted on the first section to rotate around a pivot point and movably guided on the second section in a guide slot.
