The tool has a tool housing (2) with a row of first electrical contacts, an electric drive motor (3) in the housing coupled to the first contacts, a drive unit (4) in the housing coupled to and driven by the motor, a power supply module (5) with a housing (511) reversibly attached to the tool housing. A row of second contacts connect to the first contacts when the housing is joined to the tool housing and a current converter (53) in the converter housing is coupled to the second contacts. A supply cable (6) can be connected between the module and an external supply.
