The anti-dazzle device is for a sun visor with a hinged leaf (1) which has a tinted transparent extension (3) protruding over especially the bottom free edge section. The extension consists of a transparent backing material which at least on one side has a film which has a tinting with reduced light penetrability. The backing material is a transparent PVC and the film has a bronze or silver tinting. The extension may be adjustable in the extending direction, with the extension limited by at least one stop.
