The burner comprises a RPM governed fan, an air suction opening in the fan (1) and/or fan casing (3), a gas jet, a pneumatic gas-to-air ratio regulator (4), and a measuring device. Additionally and spatially separated from the main air suction opening (2) in the fan and/or fan casing there is at least one extra air suction opening (5,5' and 5,5') with a smaller flow passage than the main air suction opening. Several additional air suction openings may be arranged spatially separated from each other and differently orientated.
