The kit (1) comprises a ring (4) open at the front and provided with a spherical indent (5) on each of the front ends (4b, 4c), several precious or semi- precious stones (6) in a setting (7) and a pair of pliers (2) for spreading the ends (4b, 4c) of the ring (4) slightly apart for the insertion of the stone (6, 7). Each of the settings (7) is provided with two spherical extensions (8) engaging with the indents (5) when the pliers (2) are removed and the tension acting on the ring (4) is released. The arms (3) of the pliers (2) have rounded outer surfaces (3a) in order to match the contour of the inner surface (4a) of the ring (4).
