Earth anchor for umbrella has helical flute to engage soil and profile at top to support umbrella mast

The multiple function anchor shaft for an umbrella has a helical flute (2) at its lower end to form an earth anchor. The shaft has a profile (3) at its top end which is of figure eight section (3.1,3.2). The top of the anchor rod is fitted into an opening in the profile. The second opening in the profile receives a mast for an umbrella.
