The brushing unit for clearing swarf has an entrance (1) for the metal plate (11) in the cutting machine and optimally rotating brushes (6,9) which have several semi-circular bodies. The bodies work on curved surface and are perpendicular to a brush unit. The brush body has a longitudinal axis which swings free relative to the cross-section of the longitudinal axis or a break (8) above the entrance and work against a carrier (5) with a rotating unit (13) which moves in a limited circle.
