An anti-flood shutter protects the doors and windows of a building from the ingress of flood water and has a surrounding seal (22). The assembly consists of two or more panels placed horizontally one above the other within the surrounding brickwork, secured by fixtures (26). Each panel (3, 4) is made up of two parts separated (2) by an overlapping horizontally sliding interface (5) with a slip seal.
