The furniture connecting system includes a spherically shaped corner element (4) with a connecting element (7) which has a cup-shaped recess (8), effecting a form-locking connection of two parts. The cup-shaped recess corresponds in its shape to the sphere of the corner element, and a connection is created between two component parts by means of a screw fitting in one of a number of threaded holes (5) which are located at right angles to each other.
