The vessel to be inserted into the ground, to register contamination of the ground water, has an absorbent base with a diameter of 30 cm or in dimensions above or below 30 cm. The absorbent base and the side walls of the vessel are wholly of plastic, pushed together in an airtight fit but easily separated.
