The loading device (1) loads cotter pins between a spring plate and a valve stem. It has a base body for specific cotter pins, including a first receiver cavity (13) in which the pins are held between an inner guide (12) and an outer guide (15) in a first position. It also has an ejection device (21) moving the pins to a second receiver cavity (16) connecting with the first one in the ejection direction, in which the pins are taken to a position spaced further out for aligned transfer to the assembly tool.
