The damping unit comprises at least one heatable component which is in the shape of a drip pan (06). The drip pan consists of inner and outer shells which form a hollow chamber. The heating of the drip pan takes place by means of a heat carrier (13) which runs through a pipe (12) on the outer shell of the drip pan.
