The measurement arrangement includes a measurement unit, which cooperates with the piston rod (3). An evaluation unit follows an optical sensor (1). The measurement unit scans in a defined area the surface of the piston rod, which moves axially in the pressure agent cylinder and calculates the moved distance of the piston rod using pixel displacement caused by the axially movement of the piston rod.
