The scraper is for a chain scraper conveyor, particularly of the mining double central chain type, comprises a stirrup part engaging beneath at least one horizontal chain member and a scraper part which encloses partly the stirrup part, extending over it at both ends. On the dividing plane between the scraper part and the stirrup part, chain beds for the legs of the horizontal chain member are formed. The stirrup part is connected with the scraper part by two screw connections outside the chain beds, which grip through penetration apertures in the scraper part. The screw connections comprise nuts (53) and head screws (50) arranged in the stirrup part (10). The recesses (11) on the under side (12) of the stirrup part (10) for accommodation of the heads (52) of the head screws prevent rotation of the head screws.
