The rolling axial machine has a cylindrical rotor (12) eccentrically located in a housing (16) with a cylindrical internal contour. The rotor has slot-like recesses on its circumference which are rounded in their base and in which locate one or more elements (14) of cylindrical base geometry. When the rotor rotates the latter elements form volume-variable working chambers as the elements roll or slide over the inner wall of the housing.
