A method for installing a squat toilet on a floor has a framework of crossed plastic strips laid onto the floor and supporting a plastic panel with a cut-out for the toilet bowl and attached foot supports. The plastic sheet has reinforcing layers on both sides. The frame strips are cut from a plastic sheet also reinforced on both sides and are assembled with jointed crossings and inside an outer support frame. The top surface of the framework can be flat or slightly concave and the frame layout has supports round the cut-out. The frame and support panel are made of similar materials with similar thermal expansion coefficients.
