The control pocket (4-6) for deep frozen food consists of a transparent plastic pocket with a filling of a granular or powder form ice and salt mixture in a mix ratio such that the filling in the range of the refrigerating temperature of the subject foodstuff stored at low temperatures is frozen, whereby the pocket is fastened to the foodstuff to be checked. The pocket may be divided into two chambers by partitions for filling with different salt and water mixtures for different temperature levels.
