A two-part wall to floor skirting board profile has a first profile which is fixed to the wall, with a rectangular outer groove containing a secondary smaller routed groove along the lower outer edge. The first profile is of one color. The main outer groove receives a matching profile with a second color. The profiles are made of e.g. wood, a wood-based material, plastic, metal, or a suitable combination of these.
