A wine or champagne bottle is normally served partly enveloped by a textile napkin in order to catch the liquid running down the neck and to look attractive. The bottle cover (20) is made of a textile material and is of a suitable, preferably rectangular shape. The bottle neck can be inserted into a round or star-shaped hole (28) of a size facilitating the cover (20) to slip to the middle of the neck. The fabric can be printed or stitched with any related information (36) like the name of the restaurant or the supplier of the drink.
