Casing veneer for profiled peripheral products such as skirting board and transition profiles of wood or parquet floors exposed to increased loads comprises a decorative veneer layer (12), and a layer (13) of support materials which is fixed on the rear side of the veneer layer. The front side of the veneer layer has a lacquer system (11) consisting of wear-resistant and flexible lacquers. Preferred Features: The lacquer system is formed from layers of wear-resistant and flexible lacquers consisting of a lacquer quantity of about 60-70 g/m2. The front side of the veneer layer is provided with an impregnating and adhesive base onto which the lacquer system is applied. The casing veneer is about 0.3-0.6 mm thick.
