A suction grip system has a module fitted with a suction cup linked to a venturi pump via a non return valve. The venturi pump is powered by a gas flow from a supply line which is connected to the module by a rapid action coupling. Any compressed gas can be used, preferably a non flammable, inert gas or compressed air. A support ring is attached to the module to position the grip and to attach any items.
